1. About these terms

These Terms of Service apply to the Android app RAM - Real American Moments ("RAM", "the app"), made and operated by JustTock ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What the app does

RAM helps you practice spoken American English. Each episode is one short sentence played in a loop with pauses for you to repeat it, with an optional translated subtitle and a short real-life dialogue that uses the sentence. There is no account or login.

3. AI-generated content

• The voices are synthesized by AI (Alibaba Cloud Qwen text-to-speech). They are not recordings of real people.
• Sentences, dialogues, translations, and scene descriptions are written with the help of AI and reviewed by us. They may still contain mistakes, unnatural wording, or translations that do not fit every situation. The app is a study aid, not professional language, legal, medical, or travel advice.
• Places, prices, and travel details mentioned in episodes are for language practice and may be out of date.

4. Free version and Premium

• The free version is supported by ads (see the Privacy Policy). Some features, such as listening to a dialogue, may be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad.
• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. It removes ads and unlocks features such as playing in order, mixes by topic and level, playlists, background playback, and Android Auto. The features included are those described in the app's Premium screen at the time of purchase.
• The price and billing period are shown in the app and on Google Play before you buy. Payment is charged to your Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions); Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Purchases, renewals, and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google Play's refund policies. For any problem with a purchase you can also contact us, and we will help as far as Google Play allows. Nothing in these terms limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer protection laws that apply to you.
• Premium is tied to the Google account used to buy it. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, restore it by signing in to Google Play with the same account.

5. Free trial and free day passes

• A one-day free trial of Premium may be offered once per device. To keep it once per device, the app checks with our server as described in the Privacy Policy.
• The app may give free day passes, for example for opening the app on consecutive days. Passes have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are stored on your device, so they are lost if you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
• We may change or end the trial and passes at any time; a trial or pass already started will run to its end.

6. Your licence and acceptable use

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and its content for your own learning. You may not:

• copy, download in bulk, redistribute, sell, or publish the app's audio, sentences, dialogues, or translations, or use them to build another product or train AI models;
• get around the ads, the subscription, the free trial limits, or other technical protections, or use modified versions of the app;
• decompile, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app or our servers, or send automated requests to them, except where the law expressly allows it;
• use the app in a way that breaks the law or harms other people or the service.

If you break these rules we may limit or end your access to the service.

7. Ownership

The app, its design, and its content (sentences, dialogues, translations, audio, images, and the name RAM - Real American Moments) belong to JustTock or its licensors. Open-source components are used under their own licences, listed in the app's settings.

8. Changes to the service

We add, change, and remove episodes and features over time, and we may suspend or end the service. If we end Premium or the whole service while you have an active subscription, we will give notice in the app or on this site in advance where reasonably possible, and handle the remaining period as required by law and Google Play's policies.

9. Limitation of liability

• The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the content is accurate or suitable for a particular purpose.
• To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from using or being unable to use the app, or for problems caused by your device, its operating system, Google Play, ad networks, or other services we do not control. This does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

10. Age

RAM is intended for adults aged 18 and older.

11. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we post the new version on this page with its effective date. If a change is to your disadvantage, we announce it on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for significant changes). If you continue to use the app after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, you may stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without taking away mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. We will first try to resolve any dispute by talking with you at the contact above. If that fails, disputes go to the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
